Terms of Service

Last updated: May 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using iQuran Academy (“the platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and iQuran Academy, operated by the iQuran Academy team (United States).

2. Who Can Use iQuran Academy

  • Adults aged 18 and older may register on their own behalf.
  • Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian register and manage their account using the “Parent” role. Parents are responsible for their child's use of the platform.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Account Roles

  • Student: a person enrolled to learn Quran, Arabic, or Islamic studies.
  • Parent: an adult who creates and manages student accounts for one or more children under their guardianship.
  • Sheikh: a verified Quran teacher. Sheikh accounts are created and activated by iQuran Academy administrators only after verification of stated qualifications.

You may not create an account using another person's identity or impersonate any individual.

4. Free Trial Classes

  • Each student is entitled to one (1) free 30-minute trial class.
  • Trial classes are intended to help students find the right sheikh before committing to regular lessons.
  • A free trial does not guarantee ongoing teaching availability with any specific sheikh.
  • We reserve the right to limit trial bookings in cases of suspected abuse or fraud.

5. Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are not currently active. iQuran Academy is currently in early access, and all core features are available without charge.

When billing is introduced, separate subscription terms will be presented to you before any charge is made. You will be notified in advance of any transition to paid features, and you will always have the opportunity to review pricing and terms before committing.

6. Sheikh Conduct

  • Sheikhs must teach with adab (Islamic etiquette) and maintain professional conduct at all times.
  • Sheikhs must be honest about their qualifications and hold the credentials they claim.
  • All interactions between sheikhs and students must remain focused on Quranic education and be free from inappropriate conduct.
  • Recording of classes for educational review purposes is permitted only with the prior consent of the student or parent.

7. Student and Parent Conduct

  • Treat your sheikh with respect and Islamic etiquette.
  • Attend booked classes on time. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 hours in advance through your dashboard.
  • Do not record or redistribute class sessions without your sheikh's explicit permission.
  • Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates these terms.

8. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the platform — including audio recitations, messages, and written notes.

By submitting content, you grant iQuran Academy a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process that content solely as necessary to operate the platform and provide the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.

9. Intellectual Property

The iQuran Academy platform, its design, branding, and logo are the intellectual property of iQuran Academy. The Quran itself is the speech of Allah ﷻ — no human being or organization claims any ownership over it.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the iQuran Academy platform without express written permission.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms. Grounds include, but are not limited to: fraud, abuse, impersonation, harassment, or illegal activity. Where appropriate, we will notify you before taking action.

11. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

iQuran Academy does not endorse or guarantee the religious opinions of individual sheikhs. Each sheikh teaches within their own school of thought (madhab). We encourage students to discuss any theological questions directly with their sheikh.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable United States law, iQuran Academy and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the total amount you paid to iQuran Academy in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, if any.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
